The fabric is dyed using traditional methods, dipped into a large vat of indigo plant dye with batik motifs applied using hand crafted blocks. Our kapok is harvested right here in Thailand, untreated, unbleached – an environmentally sound choice that is also extremely comfortable.CARING FOR YOUR PILLOWPillow cover maintenance & cleaning:Cleaning and maintaining the pillow cover is hassle-free – remove any insert or fill material then wash the cover by hand in warm water, without the use of chemicals, and finally shade dry.Washing a kapok insert:It is possible to wash an insert filled with kapok, although it is known to take a long time to dry out due to it’s density, so we recommend removing the kapok material from the insert before washing. The insert is regular cotton, and so can be washed by hand or machine as normal.Kapok filling maintenance:Kapok as a cushion fill requires minimal maintenance. Simply fluff up the kapok fiber occasionally to maintain the cushion’s plumpness.
