This innovative construction uses two new sustainable materials: flax fiber and basalt fiber. Flax fiber, a natural material, replaces traditional fiberglass. It grows quickly and can be harvested within 100 days, meaning fewer resources are required to create the final product. In addition to its eco-friendly properties, flax fiber also provides better damping and excellent torsional flex, resulting in a smoother and more comfortable ride. The flax fibers are combined with basalt fiber, another natural fiber derived from volcanic rock, used in the board’s stringers.
